Head Tennis Coach
Cranleigh Golf & Country Club is seeking a passionate, reliable, and self-motivated Head Tennis Coach to lead and develop our vibrant tennis program. Situated amidst the stunning countryside, the club features three newly resurfaced, floodlit macadam courts and offers outstanding facilities to its 1,500+ leisure members.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced coach or an ambitious professional aiming for their first head coach role. You’ll play a central part in driving both junior and adult tennis participation while working with players of all ages and abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
•Lead and develop the overall tennis program, catering to players of all skill levels.
•Coach junior and adult groups, as well as provide individual lessons.
•Promote tennis across the club and engage with members to build enthusiasm and participation.
•Collaborate with the club management team to plan events, tournaments, and initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
•LTA Level 3 or 4 Qualified Coach with Accreditation (preferred).
•Current LTA Registration/Licence.
•Proven experience in coaching players of all ages and abilities, including group and individual sessions.
•A background in working with children in school or club settings.
•A team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
•Availability to run sessions during weekdays and weekends.

Members, visitors and guests can take advantage of our fabulous 18-hole par-68 parkland golf course and refurbished driving range, 3 flood lit tennis courts as well as state-of-the-art gym and spa facilities, 18m swimming pool, steam room and sauna, and regular exercise classes in modern studios .
The 3 tennis courts have been resurfaced in the Autumn of 2024 and provide a great setup for a full tennis programme. With over 1,500 leisure members the appetite for tennis within the club has ensured tennis is a key facility within the venue.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead the tennis program at Cranleigh Golf & Country Club.
The Head Tennis Coach will be responsible for developing and delivering an inclusive, high-quality tennis offering for members of all ages and abilities, while driving participation, fostering talent, and promoting the club's values of excellence and community.
Qualifications & Experience
LTA Level 3 or above Coaching Qualification (Level 4 or 5 preferred).
Proven experience in a similar coaching or leadership role, preferably at a private club.
Strong track record in player development across various ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced competitors.
Experience organising and managing tennis events, tournaments, and social activities.
Skills & Competencies
Exceptional coaching ability, with a talent for motivating and engaging players.
Leadership skills to manage coaching staff and oversee the delivery of the tennis programme.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with members, staff, and external partners.
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
