Head Padel Coach - East London
As Head Padel Coach across two clubs, you will play a key role in shaping the coaching programme, driving participation, and ensuring an outstanding player experience at our clubs. Working alongside the Club Manager and coaching team, your responsibilities will include:
•Leading and coordinating all on-court padel activities, ensuring clear communication with customers and staff.
•Managing 35 hours per week of club activities, including:
•Supporting and leading coach education.
•Organising coaching schedules, meetings and rotas.
•Developing and managing club activities, including box leagues and club teams.
•Delivering high-quality coaching sessions.
•Overseeing coaching performance and quality assurance across the board.
•Understanding the financial aspects of running a coaching programme, ensuring it is both player-focused and financially beneficial for the club.
•Innovative in player:coach and court ratios.
•Developing and implementing initiatives to increase participation and member retention.
•Expanding our outreach programme by working with local schools, community groups, universities, and colleges.
•Promoting inclusivity and ensuring equality of opportunity within the club.
•Ensuring Rocket Padel Ilford maintains LTA venue registration.
•Monitoring court safety and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.
Since 2018, Rocket Padel has been on a mission to build the most fun, inclusive, and social exercise community. With over 100 courts established in Scandinavia and the UK’s largest padel club in Bristol, we are rapidly expanding. In 2024, we launched in Ilford, and this spring, we are opening Beckton—our second East London club.
We are now looking for an experienced and passionate Head Coach to lead and develop coaching operations across our East London clubs, strengthening the platform we’ve built at Ilford and working with our existing coaching team to elevate padel participation and performance.
We are looking for a motivated, positive, and passionate individual who thrives in a team environment and is dedicated to growing the sport of padel. The ideal candidate will have:
•Experience leading a team of coaches in either tennis or, preferably, padel.
•A valid LTA coaching qualification and accreditation, including First Aid and Safeguarding certification.
•Strong time management and organizational skills.
•Excellent communication skills, with high fluency in English.
•A working knowledge of social media (content creation is a plus but not essential).
•A true passion for padel and a desire to be an ambassador for Rocket Padel both internally and externally.
