Due to our previous Head Coach changing jobs, we are now looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and knowledgeable individual to join our club as Head Coach on a self-employed basis.

We are looking for our head coach to deliver year-round coaching to juniors and adults, providing a place for people to learn and develop their tennis skills. This will include group and one to one sessions across the week and including weekends.

We are looking for our coach to utilise school holidays to also offer holiday camps. We would also like the right person to make strong links with the local community and the numerous schools in the area.

This is a great opportunity for a passionate coach to be part of a growing tennis club and to support our members and local community.

A breakdown of the role and responsibilities is below.

Delivering regular group sessions to children and adults.

Promote development of players and support the progression of players into teams/squads.

Offer holiday camp sessions where possible.

Deal with any coaching enquiries and provide information around sessions available.

Work closely with the committee – contributing new ideas, solutions and collaborating on funding applications

Promote and represent Newton Tennis using social media and traditional media

Participate in club open days and events to promote membership.

The club is located close to the popular high street, on Crow Lane East and is part of the popular Newton Sports Club.

The club features 4 fully floodlit macadam tennis courts which are well maintained and cared for. The club has 4 men’s teams, 2 ladies’ teams as well as competing in mixed and winter league matches.
