You will be responsible for the development and implementation of a new and ongoing strategy for tennis, developing the University tennis programme for students and staff. You will also generate additional income streams by building partnerships and relationships with stakeholders like The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), local tennis clubs, schools, colleges, and the wider community.
Your duties as Tennis Development Manager will include:
•Enhancing the student experience by creating a diverse, comprehensive, and inclusive tennis programme that encourages students of all levels to play tennis
•Supporting the staff health and wellbeing agenda by providing a variety of programmes for staff engagement in tennis
•To be accountable for the commercial performance of the tennis centre, generating sustainable revenue
•Developing and driving a junior tennis outreach programme by creating partnerships in the local area
•Broadening the delivery and outreach of existing children’s activity

To be successful in this role you will need:
•A tennis coaching qualification
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Knowledge and understanding of barriers to participation in tennis and experiencing of overcoming these challenges
•Experience of planning and organising tennis activities, events or leagues
•Experience of monitoring income and expenditure, managing budgets and revenue generating activities and programmes
