We aim to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated, self-employed LTA Level 2 or above coach for our successful tennis coaching programme at John Charles Tennis Centre.

Salary will be hourly rate dependent on qualification and experience in a range between £10 to £25 per hour & other benefits.
We are looking for a coach(s) who loves tennis! Candidates should be a “Team player”, be organised, punctual and professional in their approach. Enthusiastic, outgoing, and friendly with a passion for tennis. Excellent communication skills.

Purpose of the Job will be:

To lead, or support delivery, of a range of tennis classes, delivered at different times at the John Charles Tennis Centre as well as outreach Active Leeds leisure centres.

Although this is not a ‘performance’ environment as such, we want to bring the best out of all our players, regardless of level - so you will be able to lead by example, challenge players to work that bit harder and think more deeply about their development.

Active Leeds flagship multi sports complex, with six indoor courts and six outdoor courts refurbished in October 2021. No membership, pay & play council run facility, with a very busy tennis development programme for all ages and abilities, wheelchair tennis and learning disability programme, county trainings and competitions.

You need to be someone that can help players find ‘love for the game’ - we want to help players stay in tennis for life. You will be equally happy to coach 4-year-old beginners, as well as adult advanced and team players - and everything in between - bringing professionalism and demanding high standards from players and yourself - at the same time as having fun and enjoyment on the court.
We are looking for coaches who are willing to deliver at various times including evenings, weekends over 42 weeks in a year. Opportunity to deliver individual coaching sessions on top of tennis group classes.
