A lead coach is required at one of our venues to deliver LTA Youth and Adult groups and individual lessons.

You will also work at our other venues with the team but will manage the growth of specific venue(s) and manage the overall schools and adult programme as a minimum.

This job will involve taking group and individual sessions at our various venues which are growing in number all of the time. It will involve delivering LTA Youth, Tennis Xpress, Cardio Tennis etc as well as taking sessions with our 16+ scholarship players and taking our existing young playing base to the next level. You will have the opportunity to create your own performance players.

Financial support for your further development and CPD is included in this role.

A small retainer will be paid for the managerial aspect of this role and you will get an agreed hourly rate for any sessions you take. Depending on what the ideal candidate is looking for this role could be full or part-time. We can be flexible.

WimX Tennis was established in 2004 and continues to grow. Our founder coaches are all former Wimbledon competitors and have been developing tennis players in Waltham Forest since 2005.

Our highly successful and established tennis programme caters for adults and children just starting out right up to those pursuing a career in tennis. 
In addition to serving the local community, we have created successful scholarship pathways supporting aspiring players on their whole journey. Starting with our Tournament

Pathway for ages 5 years+, WimX scholarships for 11 years+,  College and Uni scholarships for 16 years+ and 18 years+ with our long term partners Barnet & Southgate College and University of East London.

Our current main bases are both in Chingford at Ridgeway Tennis Hub (7 floodlit courts) and Chingford School of Tennis (3 indoor and 6 outdoor courts- 3 floodlit) and we also use Lee Valley for the scholarship squads.
We are also the official coach supplier to Waltham Forest and are also operating in Abbotts Park (6 courts), Lloyd Park (3 courts), Higham Hill Park (2 courts) and Chingford Memorial Park (4 courts).

We are proud of our established and diverse team of LTA accredited coaches which are the highest qualified in the county. Our full-time team is made up of three LTA Instructors (Level 2), five LTA Coaches (Level 3), two LTA Senior Performance Coaches (Level 4) and one LTA Master Performance Coach (Level 5). These coaches have all been with us between 4-17 years.

WimX Coaches become eligible for a profit share after their first three years of working with us

The ideal candidate will be confident in running all type of groups, have a high playing standard and will be accredited to a minimum of Level 3.

The rate of pay will be set based on the individual’s experience and will increase as the coach develops. A team player with strong administrative skills is a must and a driving license preferred.
