Junior Tennis Professional
David Lloyd Royal Berkshire is seeking to employ a Junior Tennis Professional (JTP). We are seeking an LTA Level 3 accredited coach. (Strong Level 2's who are close to completing their Level 3 course will be considered).
The JTP will head up and be responsible for the administration and delivery of the junior tennis programme (Tennis Stars). As a result, the JTP must be well organised, punctual, engaging and above all, be able to deliver a consistent high quality on court product.
The position is a 20 hour per week employed role which is split between on and off court responsibilities, with the ability to build a large 1-2-1 coaching business in addition.
As well as the junior tennis programme, the JTP will work within the adult tennis programme and will need to be comfortable delivering group sessions to adults.
The JTP will be encouraged to involve themselves in the regular racquets department events and competitions. Building a positive relationship with the clubs racquets members will be an important part of the role.
At Royal Berkshire we have a highly active and engaging racquets membership. The racquets department is the largest part of the clubs activities. Our tennis programme for adults and juniors is vast and has plenty of scope for further growth. Additionally, we host regular events and Royal Berkshire is used as one of David Lloyds regional event hosts.
We have 17 tennis courts. 12 indoor (10 carpet, 2 acrylic) and 5 outdoor courts. Our facilities provide the perfect environment for a coach to earn a guaranteed income through the ability to establish a large clientele base for 1-2-1 coaching.
The club itself is premium; spa, gym, clubroom/restaurant, indoor and outdoor pools, badminton courts, squash courts, studios and much more.
As an employed member of team, the JTP will have access to all club facilities as well as all David Lloyd clubs in the company. The benefits of being an employee of the company are vast.
As mentioned in the job description, the successful candidate will be an LTA Level 3 accredited coach, who is comfortable working with both juniors and adults, in both groups and 1-2-1's. You will be organised, punctual, engaging and above all else, be able to deliver a consistent high quality on court product.
We have a large team at Royal Berkshire and so being able to work as part of that team is essential. The club is a busy and energetic place and so you will need to be comfy in such an environment.
As JTP you will report to and work closely with the clubs Racquets Manager and Activities Manager. Regular support and training is on hand. Being able to work as part of that team is required as is being able to approach your managers with any problems or questions you may have.
The JTP role is a great opportunity for someone who is willing to commit themselves. There is huge potential for growth and earning within the role. You will be joining a racquets department that is a proven success but is ready for fresh input and new ideas.
