We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working, and professional tennis coach to join. The successful applicant will work closely with the committee to develop and grow the coaching programme currently on offer. We are after someone who will deliver both junior and adult groups (Development level predominately but scope to advance into Performance level), Schools sessions, Holiday camps as well as Private lessons for members too. There is scope to have discussions about Team practice sessions as well as Cardio/Drill sessions.

Initially a minimum of 5 hours a week (plus private lessons) with intention to increase this further and developing the coaching programme going forwards. 

Our club has three tarmacadam outdoor courts all with floodlights. We currently have 78 members. Four men's teams and one ladies compete in a local tennis league. We hold three social sessions every week. We have run a successful coaching program for many years open to members and non-members.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, energised professional who is a Level 3 (Accredited or Accredited+) or a Level 2 who has prior coaching experience and is currently working towards their Level 3 qualification.

You should be able to lead the way and demonstrate their passion for tennis, be a team player, and be consistent with their coaching delivery. Ideally looking for a longer term step in their coaching career and prepared to take certain calculated risks to boost retention levels across the tennis population.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is professional, reliable, and organised.
  • Is friendly and approachable.
  • Has excellent communication skills.
  • Has experience of delivering Schools sessions.
  • Is able to coach all levels of junior and adult tennis.
  • Can work weekends (days/times can be negotiated).
  • Has flexibility to work a mixture of days, times, holidays. Is able to travel independently between club and school venues.
  • Has DBS/Safeguarding/First Aid Qualifications. An interest in social media/marketing. An understanding of Clubspark.
