The coaching position is full-time however starting part time would be considered too. We are looking for a coach to assist the coaching team with a wide range of coaching services including mini tennis, junior, adult beginner/intermediate classes, school work, tournaments, private lessons and holiday camps. The coach will be self-employed. This position would suit a level 3 coach however experienced level 2's who are considering undertaking the level 3 course would be considered. It is essential that the applicant has a car as we do work at 4 clubs and several schools in the area. The successful candidate will also have a valid first aid certificate, enhanced DBS, public liability insurance and a valid coaching licence.
The successful candidate will be equally confident working as part of a team but also on their own as there are times where you are the only coach at a venue. The Head Coach is a level 5 coach who can mentor the right person through their level 4 coaching qualification if they wanted to go down that route.

The Tennis Clubs requiring assistance are: Farnham Common, Chalfont St. Peter , Stoke Poges Tennis Club. and Wraysbury Tennis Club. All 4 tennis clubs have floodlights which enable year round coaching. Farnham Common Tennis Club has 4 macadam courts and 2 tiger turf courts and is part of Farnham Common Sports Club which has the following sports sections (cricket, squash, rugby and hockey). The club also has a licensed bar, a pool table, changing rooms and a wide range of fitness classes on offer. Chalfont St. Peter Tennis Club has 4 tiger turf courts. Stoke Poges Tennis Club has 3 artificial tiger turf courts. Wraysbury Tennis Club has 3 macadam courts. We coach at schools in the area too which are linked to all our venues. The tennis clubs have a combined membership of around 700 members meaning there are plenty of hours for a new coach to coach.

Ideally we would like a coach who has at least a couple of years experience coaching however mentoring would be offered to a coach who is relatively newly qualified. We could like someone who can offer a high standard of technical and tactical advise but also someone who can engage with out players and ensure the lessons are fun and enjoyable.
Your organisational skills and time keeping skills will need to be of an exceptional standard. The type of coach who will thrive in this position will have great communication skills, be enthusiastic, inclusive, supportive, dedicated, positive and patient.
If this sounds like you, please do apply for the role.
