NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters Event Guide

Loughborough University Tennis Centre

The 2017 event will be held from 29 November - 3 December at Loughborough University Tennis Centre. Further information will be added to this event guide page in the build up to the event so please keep checking back for everything you need to know.

Details of specific event travel information will be provided in due course, but in the meantime you can find directions for getting to Loughborough University’s campus on the Loughborough Sport website.

Order of Play

Play is scheduled to begin at 10.30am Wednesday-Friday. On Saturday and Sunday the semi-finals, finals and play-off matches are scheduled to begin at 11.00aam.

Play is expected to go on into the evening and a full order of play will be published online the night before the tournament.

Please note that these are provisional timings and are subject to change at the discretion of the tournament organisers.  Attendees are advised to check the order of play ahead of each day’s matches.

Driving (Park & Ride / Disabled Parking)

Loughborough University is less than two miles away from junction 23 of the M1 motorway.  The University is clearly signed on all the other main approach roads to Loughborough.

Visitors to the NEC Masters should access the Loughborough University campus via the West Entrance and use Car Park 1 (for SatNav users use LE11 3UE).

Specators can use the free of charge 'Park & Ride' service to travel from the event car park to and from the tennis centre.  The bus service runs approximately every 10 minutes.  Please see the event transport map above for pick-up and drop-off location details.

Disabled Car Parking spaces are available with easy access to the main entrance to the tournament (see event transport map).  Spaces for disabled parking must be booked in advance by sending an email to with the following details:

  • Blue badge numbers
  • Car make
  • Car registration
  • Contact details (telephone / email)

Please note there is no charge for these spaces. 


Should you wish to walk to the venue then we recommend you use Loughborough University’s interactive campus map to plan your route.


The nearest train station is Loughborough Train Station.  Regular Intercity services operate between Loughborough and other main line towns - including daily trains to and from London St Pancras International, 90 minutes away.

Kinchbus Number 7 commences from Loughborough Station and brings you straight to campus in 10 minutes - please alight at the stop for the Students' Union and follow the directional signage to the tennis centre (see Event Transport Map above).  The service operates every 10 minutes.

Alternatively, taxis are normally available from the station and the journey should cost around £5 - £6.
