Please note on Day 3, the ITF's dead rubber policy is as follows…

If the third rubber is decisive:

  • Only the fourth rubber must be played which will be the best of three tie-break sets
  • The fifth rubber will not be played unless both teams and the Referee agree otherwise
  • If fifth rubber is agreed before the start of the fourth rubber, a 10-point match tie-break will be played as a deciding set in both the fourth and fifth rubbers
  • If the fifth rubber is agreed after the fourth rubber is played, a 10-point match tie-break will be played as a deciding set in the fifth rubber

If the fourth rubber is decisive:

  • The fifth rubber will not be played unless both teams and the Referee agree otherwise. In this case, a 10-point match tie-break will be played as a deciding set
  • If the fourth match is not completed (due to injury, etc.) the Referee has the discretion to play the fifth rubber. In this case a 10-point match tie-break will be played in a deciding set

*Tickets are issued to view such matches as may be played on the designated day. Please note any provisional order of play is subject to change at the discretion of the Referee and Tie Committee. Matches played on any day are subject to the Davis Cup Rules and Regulations including the ITF Dead Rubber Policy, which applies to the final day’s play.

We recommend ticketholders arrive early to allow for queues and security checks.

Entry to the stadium is at the main entrance of the complex.

Please ensure you bring a form of photo ID with you as ID checks may be in operation.

Security and bag checks will be in place.

Guests are subject to bag searches and hand held metal detectors prior to entering the complex.

Information on whether a left luggage facility will be available at the Event Venue will be confirmed shortly.

Please take note of the prohibited items list for the Emirates Arena:

  • Glass bottles, cans, alcoholic beverages
  • Signs, including political, promotional or advertising material
  • Broadcast quality video/motion picture cameras and recorders
  • Camera lenses exceeding 300mm in focal length
  • Umbrellas
  • Fireworks and smoke bombs
  • Persons under the influence of alcohol will not be permitted to enter the premises
  • Guests are not permitted to distribute literature or other materials to sell or distribute merchandise within the premises 

By entering the Event venue the Ticket Holder consents to being photographed, filmed and recorded in or around the Event venue. 

No ticket holder may continually collect, disseminate, transmit, publish or release from the grounds of the Tournament any match scores or related statistical data during match play (from the commencement of a match through its conclusion for any commercial, betting or gambling purpose).  The continual use of laptop computers or other handheld electronic devices within the confines (spectator area) of the tournament match courts is prohibited. The exception to this provision is properly credentialed media, tournament vendors and tournament staff when used in the performance of their duties.

Flash photography is strictly forbidden in the stands and mobile phones must be switched off during play.

Smoking is strictly forbidden anywhere in the venue.

Please come dressed in the GB team colour for the Tie which is blue! You can also purchase your adidas replica Davis Cup kit exclusively in the British Tennis Shop.

Getting to the Emirates Arena Getting to the Emirates Arena addremove

The Emirates Arena is directly across the road from Celtic Park and is accessed via the main entrance on Clyde Gateway.

Please plan your journey in advance to ensure you leave enough time to travel on the day.

We strongly advise that you use public transport to travel to the tie.

By Train

The Emirates Arena is a 10 minute walk from Dalmarnock station. Train services at this station run on a 4 per hour basis, all day on Friday and Saturday on the Argyle Line through Glasgow Central Low Level. ScotRail has arranged for additional rail services until 22.00 on Sunday 18 September. Visit to plan your journey.

By Bus

Several bus routes serve the Emirates Arena, with travel from the city centre approximately 30 minutes. The nearest bus stops to the Emirates Arena are at the Forge Retail Park (a short walk away). Visit to plan your journey.

By Car

Directions by car

Please check and plan your journey in advance and allow plenty of time to travel.

Visitors coming from the north or south by motorway can follow the M74 or M73 and the M74 (East) take the A74 exit toward Tollcross/Rutherglen. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Fullarton Rd/London Rd/A74, and proceed for another mile or so along London Road to the ground on your right. Visitors from the East or West can exit at M8 junctions 12, 13, and 14.

Please note: there are currently Roadworks on London Road.


Parking will be extremely limited at the Emirates Arena so we advise ticket holders to make alternative parking arrangements. Please visit Glasgow City Council's website to find parking spaces near to the venue.

Expression of Interest for Disabled Parking

We may be able to offer a limited number of disabled parking spaces at the Emirates Arena. If you are interested then please email with the below information and we will confirm with you in the near future if this will be possible. Please note you will need to secure your ticket/s for the tie before expressing your interest for disabled parking and if we are able to offer spaces then these expressions of interests will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

There is a taxi rank outside the North exit gates of the arena. Please be aware that, when the event finishes, there can be long queues.
