Katie Swan Progress Tour

Katie Swan will join GB Fed Cup team-mates Heather Watson, Harriet Dart and Katie Boulter at next week's Progress Tour Women's Championships in London. 21-year-old Swan, from Bristol, has been given a wildcard into the £30,000 tournament and replaces injured Samantha Murray in the draw. 

“I’m so happy to be part of this showcase for British’s women’s tennis and for women’s sport."  said  Swan.

The Tournament is taking place from 14-18 July at the LTA's National Tennis Centre, and will be broadcast across BBC Digital platforms and streamed live across the LTA’s social channels throughout the week.

It will be played in a round robin format with the Premier Division made up of two groups - Group Elena Baltacha and Group Anne Keothavong - both named after accomplished past British No.1s and GB Fed Cup players. Keothavong is the current GB Fed Cup captain while Baltacha, who died in 2014, remains an inspirational figure for British tennis

Tuesday's Order of Play is set to feature a wealth of British tennis talent for the tournament's opening day, with plenty for tennis fans to enjoy via the BBC Digital platforms. Highlights include Boulter versus Burrage, Dart taking on Silva, Watson playing Barnett and Swan playing Lumsden in what will be the first competitive matches for Britain's top female players since the regular WTA season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
