Tickets are now on sale for Great Britain's first Davis Cup by BNP Paribas home tie since 2016 - a crucial World Group play-off against Uzbekistan at Glasgow Emirates Arena from September 14-16.

Glasgow is no stranger to Davis Cup action, with the city playing host to Great Britain's last home tie - the 2016 semi-final against Argentina.

The city has also welcomed the opening round tie against the United States and memorable semi-final against Australia during which a strong home crowd cheered the team on to a Davis Cup final and victory in 2015.

The home tie will be the first in two years after the team travelled to Canada and France in 2017 before heading to Spain this year for the 2018 opening round.

The Great Britain team are seeking to maintain their place in the elite World Group of 16 nations for the sixth straight year, following their narrow away defeat by Spain in February.

September will be a first Davis Cup meeting between Great Britain and Uzbekistan.

“We are thrilled to be going back to the Emirates Arena in September," Great Britain Davis Cup captain Leon Smith said. "It feels like our team’s home away from home.

"Great Britain Davis Cup fans are second to none and play a vital role in cheering the players on and getting them over the line in a critical tie to maintain our position within the World Group.

"The team has incredible memories of the support at all our matches there and we are looking forward to taking on Uzbekistan with home advantage.”

The winner of the tie will stay in the elite World Group tier comprising of the top 16 nations for 2019.
