Caroline Wozniacki & full Entry List

You don't want to miss this! Danish star and former World No.1 Caroline Wozniacki has joined a stunning player field which Caroline Wozniackiis one of the best in  Aegon International Eastbourne history!

Wozniacki, a two-time grand slam finalist, will play alongside players who hold a total of five grand slam titles between them in Petra Kvitova (Wimbledon 2014, 2011), Sam Stosur (US Open 2011), and Svetlana Kuznetsova (Roland Garros 2009, US Open 2004).

In a week where the tournament announced British stars Johanna Konta and Heather Watson, the player field now boasts 19 of the world’s top 30 players including seven former champions in Belinda Bencic (2015), Madison Keys (2014), Elena Vesnina (2013), Ekaterina Makarova (2010), Wozniacki (2009), Agnieszka Radwanska (2008) and Kuznetsova (2004).

Johanna Konta & Heather Watson

Johanna KontaThe top two ranked players in the country are joining a star studded line up in Eastbourne!

British No.1 and local player, Johanna Konta, will be joined by Heather Watson at Devonshire Park as the Aegon GB Fed Cup Team duo return to the grass courts of as part of their preparations for The Championships, Wimbledon. 

Konta, 24, will take to her home courts once again after last year recording two of the biggest wins of her career on her way to the quarter-final.

Her good run at the tournament preceded a remarkable rise in the rankings in 2015 as she rose to a high of No.21 in the world, the highest ranked British player in 30 years.

Heather WatsonBritish No.2 Watson will be another crowd favourite and is looking to add to her impressive three WTA tour titles. With a career high ranking of No. 39 she will be trying to replicate her 2015 grass court form when she came within one service game of defeating world No.1 Serena Williams in a thrilling three-set encounter at Wimbledon.

Speaking on the announcement, Konta said: “Playing at Devonshire Park is really special for me and I can’t wait to get back on the courts, just a stone’s throw from my family home.

"Returning to my home town is so much fun and I get such a warm welcome.  It’s an amazing player field this year and I'm sure the fans will enjoy loads of world class tennis.”

Agnieszka Radwanska

One of the most entertaining players on the WTA circuit, Agnieszka Radwanska, is returning to the grass courts of Devonshire Park for the tenth consecutive year.

RadwanskaThe Polish star first graced the seaside courts in 2007 and is a strong performer on grass, winning the tournament in 2008, finishing runner up last year, and also losing out to Serena Williams in a three-set Wimbledon final in 2012.

Speaking on the announcement, the former World No.2, said: “The grass-court season is a very special time of year for me and I'm delighted to be returning for the Aegon International Eastbourne.

“I have fond memories of lifting the trophy at Devonshire Park in 2008 and I’m excited about coming back again this year. The town and the great support make for a unique atmosphere at the tournament, and I'm sure the players will put on a great show for the fans.”

Petra Kvitova

Petra KvitovaThe Aegon International Eastbourne is pleased to welcome double Wimbledon winner and one of the world’s best grass court players, Petra Kvitova, to the tournament.

Czech star Kvitova lifted the Wimbledon titles in 2011 and 2014 having competed at Devonshire Park in the week before on both occasions.

The world No.7 will be making her fifth appearance on the south coast and looking to get her hands on the trophy for the first time having lost in the final in 2011.

Kvitova said: “This tournament is one of the stand out events of the calendar. The atmosphere, the excellent venue and the fans all go towards making it a great tournament. I think it is the best preparation for Wimbledon and I have some fun memories here. I'm excited to get back on the courts.”

Belinda Bencic

The champion and World No.10 is returning to defend her title!

Rising star of the women’s game Belinda Bencic is heading back to the scene of her memorable first WTA title in a bid to capture the famous trophy once again. 

After defeating Agnieszka Radwanska in a three-set final last year, the Swiss player described it as ‘one of the biggest days of my life, it’s a dream come true’ and went on to reach Round 4 at Wimbledon and secure her status in the top of the women's game.
