Job Description

This is the perfect role for a coach looking to develop their coaching with greater responsibilities in a wonderful working & living environment.

The Tennis Excellence Pathway Director is responsible for the effective operation of their assigned Pathway to meet the business objectives of Tennis Excellence. The Pathway Director must be highly skilled in the running of all Coaching Programs. This position requires the Pathway Director to be the point of contact for all players and parents, therefore must display leadership skills, a positive energetic attitude and a strong on-court presence. The Tennis Excellence work environment is positive and up-beat, and all employees are expected to promote our culture of fun, passion and professional. We focus on providing the best possible experience for our clients. The Pathway Director is responsible for and supported by the Tennis Excellence Head & Senior Coaches. The Tennis Excellence Pathway Director reports directly to the Tennis Excellence Centre Manager.

Responsibilities

  • On-court
      • Supervise all Programs
      • Place all necessary equipment on court prior to lesson commencing
      • Conduct lessons for all assigned Programs
      • Manage and monitor Head & Senior Coaches performance
  • Complete employment initiation with the Sporting Excellence Coach Training Director
  • Maintain your current employee information with Sporting Excellence
  • Participate and assist in training sessions
  • Maintain all your relevant qualifications and certifications
  • Complete all administrative duties for all assigned Programs
  • Meet with the Centre Manager as required to perform the role
  • Communicate availability to Tennis Excellence Staffing Officer

Tennis Excellence is the largest network of coaching businesses in Western Australia. Blue Gum Park TC is the largest Tennis Excellence venue comprising;

  • 22 tennis courts (10 grass, 4 lit synthetic grass, 8 lit synthetic plexipave)
  • 8 squash courts
  • Large clubrooms with full kitchen and changeroom facilities

We are a regional Centre and have strong relationships with local schools and the governing body, Tennis Australia. We attract players from up to 100kms away with our quality programs and standard of junior players. We offer HotShots, Adult Coaching & Junior Performance Programs, as well as private lessons and hitting sessions.

Our coaches enjoy each other’s company which creates a fantastic work environment, which adds to the beauty of Perth city.

Person specification

We will provide a fantastic work environment where coaches enjoy flexible working hours, plenty of coach training for your personal development and a team of coaches that love the game of tennis.

You need to provide a great attitude and enthusiasm to coach a variety of players. Ideally, you need to provide some experience in coaching HotShots-aged players and adult coaching. 

We want the person who enjoys coaching players of all levels and ages. A person that enjoys the Club environment. A person that wants to work as part of a team.

We will provide you any initial training that is required and PD going forward. We want the right person.
