Nottinghamshire Ladies 60+ County Report

• 1 MINUTE READ

With all the Covid-19 restrictions courts were booked for outdoor matches well into the summer.

We started on 12 August with an away match against Leicestershire. We were fortunate with the weather and had a good match although losing 3-1.

The next match was planned for 19 September. Unfortunately, the match had to be rearranged although with hindsight it could have been played. Dodgy weather in the morning meant cancelling as it was too far to travel from Oxfordshire to risk not being able to play.

The following weekend there was brilliant sunshine, but Warwickshire withdrew as they were unable to get a team together.

The rearranged match against Oxfordshire was played indoors on 21 November. It was a tight match with two rounds going to tie breaks. Nottinghamshire were winners 3-1.

Berkshire had withdrawn before any matches were organised, so we were a small group, but all matches were played in good spirit. We were pleased to be playing and look forward to next year.
