The Isle of Man Lawn Tennis Association Leagues provides opportunities for competitive play to Clubs on the Island. There is a Men's Doubles League, a Women's Doubles League, and, later in the Summer, a Mixed Doubles League. Teams in all these events consist of 2 pairs (4 players) playing sets against each of the opposing pairs. In the Winter there is a 'hybrid' Doubles League with a mixture of Men's, Women's and Mixed Doubles sets in each match.

The IOM Closed Championships is the biggest competition on the Isle of Man calendar which is for all age groups. It is designed for the Island players only, meaning players with a different playing county cannot take part. To be eligible, you will either need to live or have been born in the Isle of Man. Double check your playing county in your membership area on the LTA website.
Before entering an individual competition, a player must have an LTA Membership, which is free if you are a member of a registered Club.
Road to Wimbledon is the biggest junior tournament in British tennis and gives all 14U players the opportunity to progress through to compete on the world famous grass courts at Wimbledon.
The first stage of the competition takes place in a club/park/school and organisers can choose a format relevant to their venue to deliver a fun, sociable competition for players rated 7.1-10.2 or un-rated.
The winners of these events will then progress to their County Finals. County Final winners are then invited to compete in the National Finals at Wimbledon in August.
A new rating system is soon to be implemented, if you wish to learn more please visit the Player ratings & ranking section of the LTA Website.

The County Cup events give players the opportunity to represent the Isle of Man in a team competition both in national and regional stages. Events are held at different times of the year and in order to compete, players have to be selected by the IOMLTA Competitions Committee.
There are separate Junior County Cup competitions for six age groups, 18U, 14U, 12U, 11U, 10U and 9U, each held at different times of the year. Selection for these teams is based on players rankings, tournament results and their performance in the Island Training Squads.
We also have teams in the Adult Summer and Winter County Leagues.
