County support
We’re here to help our venues become the best they can be.
There are 1000’s of venues across Britain, including clubs, parks, leisure centres, schools, etc, which provide people with opportunities to play and enjoy tennis every day.
We offer a wide range of tailored support to ensure that you have everything you need to encourage more players to come and get involved.
From growing memberships to taking tennis to new places – here’s some guidance, tools and resources to help you support your tennis community.
Venue management, finances, growing members... we know that running a tennis venue requires a lot of hard work and effort, but don’t worry, we’ve got a whole host of resources to help you along the way.
Take a look at our support hub, full of information to develop your venue.
Here in Bedfordshire, we want to get as many schools playing tennis as possible.
We fund LTA Youth Schools competitions during the summer term with the help of our Sports Development teams, spanning six partnerships across the county.
During the competitions we give local tennis clubs the chance to promote their programmes and try and get more kids playing the game in their community.
Want to find out more about the competitions and how you can get your school or venue involved? Contact your local Sport Development team leader:

Each year, we highlight the incredible achievements and contributions of people across Bedfordshire and Britain, with our annual LTA Tennis Awards.
Launched in 2015 with the help of former LTA president Cathie Sabin OBE, the awards recognise the many thousands of inspirational individuals involved in tennis, dedicating their time and energy to our sport. Volunteers, coaches, officials, venues, events – we want to celebrate you!
Winners are judged from over 2,000 public nominations and are first judged by County Associations, resulting in 380 County award winners who are then put forward for Regional awards and finally the National awards.
