Online Tournament Entry (OTE) using PayPal is now available for all tournaments graded 1-5.
The system allows players to enter and pay for events online with the entry fees being deposited instantly into the Competition Organiser's PayPal account.
Competition Organisers are also provided, via PayPal, with the ability to refund players instantly however 20 pence of the original transaction fee is retained by PayPal when a refund is made. All player entry information can be downloaded into TTP using the normal entry download process.
PayPal is a safe, simple way to send and receive money online and is one of the world's leading online payment providers. PayPal is secure and allows you to pay or get paid quickly and easily without sharing any of your financial information.
When you pay with PayPal your financial details are never shared with sellers or retailers, so you’re better protected against fraud.
Players don't have to repeatedly type in their card details each time they pay which will save time and effort.
PayPal is the preferred web payment method in the UK; all a player needs is an email address and a password to pay for an event in just a few clicks.
Follow these instructions to set up the automatic refund process for players who withdraw online before the published withdrawal deadline of your competition.
There is no direct charge to a player entering an event however Competition Organisers will incur a transaction fee per payment based on the table below.
The fee is removed from the player's entry fee when the payment is made with the remaining balance being deposited directly into the Competition Organiser's PayPal account.
The LTA are completely separate to the payment process and receive no fee from the transaction.
If a player is issued with a refund the transaction fee is partially cancelled (60 days maximum refund period); 20 pence is retained by PayPal for each refund made.
N.B. Eligibility for lower rates is determined by the total entry fees received in the previous calendar month. It is necessary to apply for this lower rate.
Example transaction based on a Competition Organiser who receives between £0.00 - £1,500 per month.
If a refund is required the transaction fee is returned minus 20p.(conditions apply, see refund section in the user guide).
