Tennis Chesterfield is looking for a reliable, well organised, independent and energetic coach to join our team. The tennis programme at Chesterfield LTC has been recently awarded LTA Youth Recognised Venue Status and we are looking to build on this by strengthening our coaching team.

We expect the successful candidate to have a mixed timetable of club groups (adults and juniors), open court programme, individual lessons, holiday camps, events and school’s sessions. All group lessons are based indoors which gives guaranteed incomes for coaches; there are options for individual lessons to be indoors or outdoors.

We have 16 hours of indoor group lessons for the successful candidate to start with immediately. In addition the candidate will be given a minimum of 8 hours of Primary school coaching weekly in the Summer Term (hours and days to be negotiated). We expect the successful candidate to build a sustainable business around these hours with individual lessons and further group lessons.

Start Date: Immediate.

Initially on 1 year Contract.

Formed in 2018, Tennis Chesterfield is headed up by Charlie Pick and Jonny Brooke each of whom has extensive experience in the tennis industry, having operated in the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire area for over 15 years.

Tennis Chesterfield aims “To provide affordable tennis services which are well planned, well delivered and present tennis in a fun and inclusive environment in and around the Chesterfield area."

Tennis Chesterfield operates in Chesterfield LTC, Ashover Parish Courts, alongside schools, leisure centres and parks.

Currently Tennis Chesterfield has 400+ participants who engage in tennis weekly.

Tennis Chesterfield's reputation is strong in the Chesterfield and Derbyshire area, we want to give the successful candidate the opportunity to thrive and develop in our environment. We want hear from people with passion, drive and appetite for hard work!

The successful candidate will be adaptable in delivery methods and bring tennis to life for all ages. It is essential that the candidate is able to organise large groups with the help of assistants and volunteers. Our open court programme is something we are hugely proud of and a big part of the programme, ideally the candidate will have experience working with individuals with additional needs or have the desire to upskill themselves in this department by learning from other coaches and assisting in sessions.

This opportunity would suit an individual who wants a full-time career in tennis and wants opportunities to do a variety of coaching sessions. At Tennis Chesterfield we have a great team atmosphere and enjoy working together on court, we want someone to add to this and further develop our team.
