International Travel Assistance (ITA) is a further element of LTA player funding which is put in place to assist players financially with the costs of competing in international tournaments.
Many Aegon FutureStars and older matrix players compete regularly overseas to gain important Tennis Europe (TE) and ITF ranking points. These tournaments are an essential part of a performance player’s schedule. The LTA wishes to support players competing internationally by providing funding allocations to assist with the costs of accommodation and travel that are associated with this.

Generally speaking, ITA is available to those players over 12 who are playing at the level of an ‘A’ matrix player. The LTA ITA policy gives details of the exact criteria you must be meeting to be eligible to apply for ITA.
ITA is awarded in December and June for the following six months. The deadline for the second six months of 2012 (July-December 2012) was 1st June 2012 and all players who have applied have been informed of whether their application was successful.
The deadline for applications for January to end of June 2013 is the 1st December 2012.
Any players wishing to apply must do so by submitting their tournament schedule for the upcoming six months by email to either Helen.Reesby@lta.org.uk (Girls) or Richard.Plews@lta.org.uk (Boys).
To claim your ITA please complete the ITA Invoice Template and return it to the relevant Men’s or Women’s team administrator.
