If you want to try your hand at tennis but you don’t want to commit to joining a club, then park courts are the best option. To find the public park courts near you, tick ‘parks’ in the Find A Court search.
Look out for public tennis facilities with Beacon status, our accreditation for community sites which have demonstrated that they provide free and affordable tennis for local people.
There are tennis facilities around the country where you can pay and play without having to sign up for membership.
Many of these also have indoor tennis courts so you can keep playing through the winter.

If you want a guarantee that a club has met best practice criteria, look for the Clubmark stamp of approval.
Clubmark isn’t just a tennis thing – this best practice accreditation was introduced by Sport England in 2002 and is used across 34 sports.
The LTA has developed its own version of Clubmark based on Sport England’s guidelines.
Places to play which display the Clubmark logo have demonstrated that they meet certain standards when it comes to coaching programmes, competitive opportunities, child protection and equality and diversity.
There are over 800 Clubmark clubs in the UK and a further 600 working towards the accreditation.
