Playing tennis in a team is a great way for juniors to be introduced to competition. It allows for players to play with their friends, improve their game and enjoy the experience of tennis in a fun environment.
There are a number of opportunities throughout the year for players of all standards to represent a team in their place to play, school or county. Many of the competitions are graded and count for rating wins and ranking points. Outlined below are team competition opportunities for junior players.
The most participated team competition in the country is AEGON Team Tennis. It provides local opportunities to players, of all ages and abilities, to represent their place to play. Team Tennis runs in April, May and June each year and gives a new experience to teams and players with regular league matches and online league tables. Find out how your team can play in Team Tennis.

To find out how to get involved in a school team view the AEGON Team Tennis Schools webpage. Team Tennis Schools is a programme of three nationally organised competitions for Secondary School and Further Education pupils. The competitions target different year groups and standards of player with the opportunity of pupils competing for their school team in a national final.
More experienced players can be selected to represent their County in AEGON County Cup. These age group events are central venue based and provide a great team atmosphere. There are also other traditional County team events. To find out more contact your local county office.
The pinnacle of junior team competition is to represent your country. There are ITF and Tennis Europe events that provide team competition at this level.
