Hull YPI have become the 30th Tennis club in Yorkshire to achieve club mark status.
The file was put together by Sue Mayoh, Ann Barker, Pete Bridgewater and Jon Thordarson, with help from Gill Mann. Jon and Pete have put great effort into developing the junior programme through their extensive links with local schools. They are running a series of competitions for all age groups to ensure that every player is given an opportunity to learn the game through playing matches.
“Clubmark has helped the club become more organised” says secretary Sue Mayoh. Head coaches Pete and Jon have also seen the benefit – “it has highlighted our strengths and weaknesses and allowed us to see where we can make improvements”.
‘Clubmark’ means that Hull YPI can now be recognised as a club who are operating at a high standard in terms of their coaching and competition programme, club management, policies and procedures, and planning for the future.
