Some 130 young tennis players escaped the cold weather to compete in the annual South Wales County Closed Tennis Championships at the Welsh National Tennis Centre, Cardiff.
The championships, played on the centre’s indoor courts, involved singles competitions for boys and girls at under 10, under 12, under 14, and under 16 level, and for boys also at under 18.
Winners came from across South Wales, including Cardiff, Newport, Swansea, Caerphilly and Crickhowell.
