David has been involved in tennis as a player and administrator for many years holding the post of Treasurer and Chair at his club, Windsor LTC, Penarth. Helped in the establishment of Tennis Wales Limited and was its first Chair, and is a member of the South Wales Committee.
Carwyn has a professional interest in Sports Medicine and the role of sport for lifelong fitness and health. He is Chairman of Carmarthen Tennis Club and was elected to the Board in 2008.
Has been involved in tennis for over 30 years in Wales, at Club, County and Welsh level with a particular interest in the development of the game. Currently membership secretary at CTL Rhuthun/Ruthin LTC. Was a paid administrator for Tennis Wales in the North Wales Office from 1999 until 2008. Elected to the Board 2009.
Malcolm has been involved as a tennis volunteer in South Wales for many years and has held office in most positions at club level, including chairman, club secretary, club treasurer and team captain. He has served for about fifteen years on the Tennis Wales South Council and on the League & Competitions Committee of which he is now Chair.
Nigel has a long background in sport having graduated from Loughborough University in 1980 with a degree in Physical Education and Geography. Nigel’s interest in tennis began when he retired from rugby. His daughter Kimberley showed a talent for the game and Nigel spent some time travelling around Europe with her. He is actively involved in the running of Usk Athletic Club and the tennis club within it.
Martyn is a full-time professional coach, and has worked in Germany, Abu Dhabi and Scotland, before returning in 2003, now based in Colwyn Bay. He has been on the Board since 2008.
Tim is a communication specialist and was first co-opted to the Board in 2007, where he leads in PR and Marketing for Tennis Wales. Tim is Chairman of Fairbridge Cymru, the Welsh Arm of the National Youth Chairty.
Chad is Finance Director for Tennis Wales and was co-opted to the Board in 2008.
Alan Watkin - Local Authority Liason
Alan was the Cheif Officer for Libraries, Leisure, Culture and Communications with Wrexham County Borough Council for 14 years and as such has been closely involved with supporting tennis and the North Wales Regional Tennis Centre. On the Board he leads on developing TWL's relationships with local authorities.
