Esporta Falmer was the venue for the 10 Under Girls singles event. Players from Sussex, Surrey and Kent played a high standard of tennis throughout the event. Top seed, Marley Manga, won her first match 4.0 4.0 and then her semi final against Hollie Irwin 4.2 4.0. Hollie had previously won a close, long three setter against Lauren Bishop 1.4 5.4 (3) and then 10.6 in the championship tie break.
Lauren then returned on court to play Hannah Green in another close match. This time Hannah won 4.2 4.1 with some excellent rallies and winners by both players. Soffie Keffert and Fay Brittain had a series of close rallies which was not reflected in the first set win by Fay 4.0 however the second set score of 5.3 to Fay was more reflective of the closeness of the match.
In the bottom half of the draw Ellie Watts from Kent, won her first match 4.1 4.0 to play Tara Hefer, from Surrey. Tara had previously won her first match 4.1 4.1 in the semi final Tara played an aggressive match to win 4.0 4.0.
The final itself was a titanic affair with Marley and Tara trading power shot with power shot, determination with determination. Every game was hard fought and close. Marley won the first set 4.2 with Tara coming back to win the second 5.3. The championship tie break mirrored the first two sets. Eventually Marley won it 11.9, a match that neither player deserved to lose. The third/fourth play off ended in a relatively easy win 4.1 4.0 to Ellie Watts. The last round of matches saw Fay Brittain beat Hannah Green 4.2 4.5 (3) 10.5 and Lauren Bishop beat Sophie Keffert 4.1 4.1
