Wigmore Lawn Tennis Club held a junior tournament for U8-U18 boys and girls on Monday 2nd August-Friday 7th August.

The tournament was organised in order for children across London to gain more match experience and to help them to progress with competing against players of varying standards, which is a key part of the LTA's grassroot tennis strategy.

It is safe to say that the tournament was a hit as there were over 80 children, representing 28 or so clubs from around the area, who participated. This is fantastic for what is a fairly new tournament, which will now, due to it's recent success, hopefuly become an established event in the Surrey calendar for years to come!

 Local press such as the South London Press and the Streatham Guardian covered the event and included photographs of some of the children that were participating.
