Charles & Lynette Fulcher travelled from Felixstowe  up to Dudley to try and go one step further than last year runners up in the National Father & Daughter Championships.

The semi final was against a local pair from Warwickshire, Richard & Lucie Butler and after two close sets the Fulchers won 6.3, 6.3.The final paired the Fulchers against Tony & Hannah March from Lancashire who were both higher rated.

The first set went to the Fulchers with one break of serve 7.5, the second set went to the way of the March’s 6.3. The third set started with a break for the Fulcher’s which they managed to hold on to take the set and the match 6.3 to make the long trip worthwhile.
