Person Specification
Applicants should be LTA qualified [UKCC level 3 or above], LTA licensed and registered. Those nearing level 3 may be considered. Experience in setting up and delivering tennis programmes for all ages is desirable as is experience of managing others and working within a team.
We are looking for a positive, energetic well-organised person who will inspire our members to get the very best out of their tennis.
Excellent communication and teaching skills are essential.
The successful candidate will also be competent in the practical and administrative aspects of coaching.
The Club
Walton Tennis Club is set on the outskirts of Stafford close to Cannock Chase, an area of outstanding national beauty. We have four tarmac courts that have been completely re-surfaced over the last two years. All courts are flood lit. The clubhouse has a bar, kitchen and changing facilities. There are currently 204 playing members of whom 85 are juniors. The committee believe that there is potential for an increase in this membership within the community.
The Club Coach will have access to at least one court daily including weekends– timetable to be sent with application form. The coach will be able to undertake private coaching open also to non-members during these times.
Although the successful applicant will be self-employed there is accountability to Walton Tennis Club and a retainer will be paid – details at interview. The post will be subject to a successful CRB disclosure
