Tennis Shropshire is supported by a team of volunteer officials.
Cathie has just completed a term as President of Tennis Shropshire. She took on the role of councillor for Tennis Shropshire in 2000. The LTA Council elected her on to the main board and she has now been elected Deputy President of the Lawn Tennis Association.
Although she is heavily involved with LTA Main Board work she is still actively involved within the County. She has just handed over the reins as Chair of the Junior County Closed but will be co-ordinating the training of the ball crew for the Shrewsbury Pro Series and working on junior matters.
Cathie is chair of the National Education Advisory Committee, a member of the national Child Protection Committee, a trustee of the Tennis Foundation and attends Development and Performance committees.
Her heart is still in Shropshire and she is always available to answer queries, if she doesn't know the answer she will probably know somebody who does.

An agricultural merchant for Shropshire and Wales, Chris is the Chair of High Ercall club. Previously Chris was Area Representative for Telford & Wrekin, and Lead Volunteer.
Besides his roles as Chair and Councillor for the County, Chris is Chair of the Promotion Workstream and a member of the LTA Tennis Development Committee.
Chris is keen to improve communication between the County Team and Clubs/Places to Play. He looks forward to meeting as many of the volunteers and players during the course of the year.

Jim is a full time farmer from Bridgnorth. Currently occupying the role of Bridgnorth Tennis Club Chair. Until recently Jim was Chair of Shropshire Management Committee. In his spare time Jim plays for Bridgnorth 1st team and Shropshire County Over 60s team.
In his role as Bridgnorth Area Rep, Jim will be liaising, and hoping to build a working relationship. with the 5 clubs in the Bridgnorth area and hopes this will allow him to make available all aspect of Tennis Shorpshire to these clubs.
Whilst being President of Tennis Shropshire, Jim is hoping to attend as many tournaments and presentations as possible. Jim is always on hand to offer advice and guidance from his past experiences within tennis.

Fiona is Chair of Market Drayton Tennis Club and plays in one of the club teams throughout the year.
She is also involved in junior tennis through her daughter and as a result of the junior tournaments which she runs locally.

Peter has been coaching in Shropshire for over 14 years, and is currently Head Coach at Longden Tennis Club.
He has been a qualified tennis coach since 1991, but only started coaching full time after finishing his studies/tennis scholarship at Jacksonville State University, Alabama in 1998.

Jill Middleton - Treasurer
Jill works as an Accountant in Shropshire, specialising in Farm accounts. She took on the role of Treasurer of Tennis Shropshire in December 2010.
Jill is a keen tennis player, currently representing The Shrewsbury Club, and is captain of Shropshire Over 40’s.
