Montrose Tennis Club has made it through to the televised finals of the People’s Millions in conjunction with The Big Lottery Fund and ITV.

Their project will be shown on STV North regional evening news on 25th November 2009.
 
Montrose Tennis Club has been given a once in a lifetime opportunity by the People’s Millions to compete for a grant for the installation of floodlights at the club.  This would enable the club to continue the club's development, offer an extended coaching programme and make the courts more available to members and the general public of all ages and abilities.  
 
To date, all enhancements at the club have been funded by the hard work of the club's members and committee.  These improvements have helped the club to double their membership in the past 2 years, implement a schools programme and encourage junior playing.  They have also had a 50% increase in visitors and the general public using the courts.

Montrose Tennis Club would love to be able to serve this up all year round.  They are desperate for your vote. 
 
How To Vote

The voting lines will be open at 9am on the day of broadcast (25th November 2009) and will close at midnight.  You can only vote on the day of broadcast.  The number to call will be published on the People’s Millions website on the day of broadcast and will also be printed in the Daily Mirror.  
 
The cost of voting will vary depending on the phone provider.  Calls will cost 10p per call from a BT landline, calls from other networks and from mobiles will be considerably more.  After operating costs have been covered any remaining phone revenue will be donated to charity.
 
The winning project will be shown on STV the evening after the public vote during the 6pm news.
