There were impressive wins for Scottish juniors Emma Devine and Joanna Henderson in the first round of the qualifying stage of the AEGON Pro-Series in Edinburgh.

Edinburgh's Devine playing her first match of the season on clay recorded a win over Northumberland's Dena Daly, 6-3 6-2.  This was the 15-year-old's first win at this level.

Meanwhile Aberdeen's Joanna Henderson (16) produced a dominating display to defeat Michelle Jlilati from Cheshire 6-1 6-0.

Morven McCulloch (16) of the Tennis Academy at St George's School in Edinburgh took Hope Johnson to three sets before losing out 7-6 [4] 3-6 6-1.
