George Baird of Newlands and Allan McClure from Prestwick are top seeds for the 12 and 16 & Under Scottish Indoor Championships which will be played at Scotstoun Leisure Centre on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th February.

There is a strong English entry for this year’s championships which will test the best of Scotland’s juniors.  12-year-old Baird opens against Elliott Lambrecht of Surrey on Saturday morning.  McClure, runner-up in the 18 & Under championships last month, will hope to go one better in his own age group and is seeded to meet Newlands player Scott MacAulay in the final.

Eleanor Scarff of North Wales is top seed in the 12 & Under girls’ event with Northumberland’s Emma Wilson seeded to meet Scotland’s Meghan Montgomerie in the final of the 16 & Under girls’ competition.

The 14 & Under Championships are played at Scotstoun this weekend with finals scheduled for Sunday at 2pm.
