Oxfordshire ladies over 60's played their 1st home match of the season against top of the division Devon.
This was always going to be a tough match, and so the result of 1-3 loss was not surprising, although we did get close to a draw.
Merril Massey and Linda Molyneux played as 1st pair and lost 3-6, 2-6 to the Devon 1st pair and then had a very tight 3 setter against the 2nd pair just losing the 2nd set in a tie-break and then losing in the championship tie-break. Second pair, Caroline Goult and Andi Padbury lost convincingly to the 1st pair 1-6, 3-6 but had a good win against the 2nd pair 6-1, 6-3.
With only one match remaining the battle is on to remain in division 2 for next year.
