The above are County Sports Partnerships. A County Sport Partnership (CSP) is a partnership of agencies committed to providing a high quality single system for people to benefit from sport in England. You should contact the CSP in your club / venues location. Each CSP comprises a small core staff group and a wider partnership of different agencies committed to providing a high quality single system to help people to access and benefit from sport. CSP’s play a vital role in developing more community sports opportunities for young people and supporting clubs. They can help you or your Club / venue in regards to funding opportunities, playing sport, events, coaching, volunteering in sport, club development, courses and much more. Please find more information about your local CSP's in our resources section.
In the run up to the 2012 Olympics and beyond, the Tony Blair Sports Foundation (TBSF) aims to increase participation in sport by young people in the North East through helping more young people and adults become trained coaches and officials.
In partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association we are looking to recruit more Level 1 coaches who will work alongside experienced coaches in schools, clubs and venues across the North East.
If you’re enthusiastic and committed to sport then becoming a trained assistant coach, qualified coach or an official is something you should think about doing.
By joining the TBSF you may be entitled to 50% funding towards a Level 1 coaching/official qualification. To join up for free please visit their website. Please go to our resources section for further information about the TBSF and also when the Level 1 and 2 coaching courses are.
