Lancashire's Tom Baron was triumphant in both the Men's Singles and Doubles Over 80 events at the British Open Indoor Championships held at Dudley last week.
He beat John Draper in the singles final 6-2, 6-0 and along with his partner, Tom Eastop, took the doubles title, defeating Paul Drane and John Draper by 6-4, 6-4, to achieve this amazing result.
Of the event Tom said, “I have been a losing finalist in the 75's Singles at Dudley, and a runner-up on three occasions but now, in my first year in the 80s, I have achieved my objectives.”
“Overcoming players who have won many National and Overseas titles and have represented GB on numerous occasions was especially pleasing.”
