There are two stages involved in becoming a referee.
The Basic Course will provide you with information on the Rules, Code of Conduct and procedures used in Refereeing tournaments, and the Accreditation Course, which requires the applicant to have attended a Basic Seminar Course, joined ABTO as a Trainee Member and paid the first year’s subscription of £20, completed 4 days of work experience at tournaments and obtained a CRB disclosure. Having completed these conditions the Trainee Referees will then be able to run LTA-sanctioned tournaments.
Both course are free and run 9.30 – 5.00, with lunch provided. For further information, please contact Sarah Wooding, Officiating Services Manager, on 020 8487 7046 or via e-mail to Sarah.Wooding@LTA.org.uk. Alternatively contact the County Office and we will send the application forms for the relevant courses to you.
