Ryde Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club completed the installation of two more floodlights this week.
The Club successfully received planning permission from the Isle of Wight Council before securing a substantial grant from the LTA to fund the project along with their own facility.
Simon Johnson, Tennis Development Manager said:
“It’s been great to work with the Club on this project. Ryde Lawn was one of the first tennis clubs within the County to achieve Tennis Clubmark accreditation and things are going from strength to strength”
The Club are a great example of good practise. Not only do they offer a complete coaching programme, but also run competitions throughout the year for players from the Island, and this year has seen an increase in the number of players travelling to Ryde from the mainland to participate.
