Alton Tennis Club became the smallest tennis club within Hampshire & Isle of Wight to be accredited with Tennis Clubmark this weekend. The club has two floodlit tennis courts but offers its members a coaching programme and competitive opportunities throughout the year.

The committee have worked hard to develop the club and have aspirations for the future including a new clubhouse as well as looking to construct an additional two floodlit courts.

Club Chairman, Adrian Jones was on hand to receive the award from Simon Johnson, Tennis Development Manager, who said:

“This is a fantastic achievement from the committee and members of Alton Tennis Club. They’ve turned a two court local council site into a club to be proud of and we’re extremely excited to be able to support the club with its expansion plans for the future”
