Thornden Tennis Club in Chandler Ford held their first junior grade 5 competitions last week.
The junior tennis tournament was aimed at getting club standard junior tennis players out competing locally. The event was run by Chris Whiting, a local referee, who promoted the tournament and offered opportunities to players aged 12&U as well as 16&U.
In total sixteen players competed, with Sam Piper winning the 16&U title and Nathan Tuffley walking away with the 12&U prize.
The club will be running another event later in the month - information can be found here.
