The East Region have been asked to run the middle Saturday junior/mini tennis exhibition this year at Wimbledon. 12 juniors aged 9 to 11 will be taken to Wimbledon to play on courts 5, 6 and 7 on 25th June.
If your place to play holds Clubmark Accreditation, or if you are a Satellite Club, an HPC or an IHPC, your place to play is eligible to apply for an extra block of tickets to bring a group of players, parents and/or volunteers from your place to play out to The Championships.
Unseeded Essex player Shannon Newnes last week reached the final of the u16 girls singles, beating along the way the number 5 seed and Emily Dunne, seeded number 2.

The annual Lionel Cox Junior Event took place this weekend 30 April/1st May at Queenswood School, Herts. Boys and Girls Teams in the U10/Ul1 and U12 categories took part. Thanks to all and everyone who supported.

12 junior & mini tennis players from the East Region were invited to the All England Championships by the Lawn Tennis Association to take part in a demonstration on the outside courts last Saturday 25th June including a number of Essex players.
