The Aegon U8 Mini Tennis Red has been a great success at Tennis World. The matches were played both in and outside when the weather permitted.
 
The standard of play improved steadily throughout the 6 weeks of matches which made it possible for the players to start to think tactically how they were going to win the point and carry out their plan. We saw long rallies (trading) with players moving their partner around the court and a high standard of match play and sportsmanship from all the teams.
Each team nominated an adult or young Leader to assist umpiring each week and thanks to their efforts and the very efficient team Captains the event went smoothly and was a great success. 

The Tennis World team came away with first place, with Yarm Tennis Club a close second.
