On Monday 15th February a number of mini red players took part in the Satellite Stars tournament, originally open to Mini Red Level 3 and 4 players.
As the entries were low the tournament was open to all levels. The players competed against each other once during the morning at Bournemouth Gardens Tennis Club.
The top two players who recorded the highest total number of wins competed against each other in a hard fought final.
The two players who made the final were Roscoe Oliver and Owen Griffiths. In a closely fought contest, Roscoe beat Owen 10-7.
Both players had to work really hard to progress through to the final and they both deserve huge credit. Both of the players received a baseball box with a mini red ball for progressing so far. Before the match they had to sign each others ball. This is now a symbol of who they played in the final. Well Done to both Roscoe and Owen.
A big thank you must also to the following players who successfully competed in the tournament and played with a fantastic attitude, Monet Garner, Dylan Lovell, Evelina Hakansson and Thomas Roberts. It was extremely close to determine who progressed, with the scoring coming down to points difference. Well Done, keep up the fantastic sprit you showed throughout the event.
