The tennis competitions will run from Saturday 28th July to Sunday 5th August 2012 and will include Men’s and Women’s singles & doubles and, for the first time since 1924, a mixed doubles event. There are 5 gold medals as well as ATP/WTA ranking points up for grabs.Tennis was one of the sports played at the first modern Olympic Games in Athens 1896.

Draw size: 64 Men’s and Women’s singles; 32 Men’s and Women’s doubles. There will also be a 16 draw mixed doubles event but qualification criteria still being finalised.

For the Tennis from Wimbledon there will be coverage whenever there is play although there will not be coverage of the action on every court as there will be a huge demand to showcase all the other sports at other venues.
