The draw for the AEGON GB Davis Cup Team's Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Euro/Africa Zone Group I tie was made today at Braehead Arena, near Glasgow.
Beginning proceedings on Friday for Great Britain will be Josh Goodall who takes on the Belgian number two Steve Darcis.
Goodall was called up as a replacement for compatriot James Ward who had to withdraw due to a back injury on Thursday. Goodall who has been having a good run of form recently, including an ITF Futures win in Switzerland last weekend, will be looking to put up a good fight against the world number 68.
Talking about opening the tie, the Briton said; "Obviously I'm up first which is pretty exciting, last time I was here in 2009 I was first up so I know what to expect."
In the second singles rubber of the day, Dan Evans will be taking on world number 59 Olivier Rochus. Evans who helped seal a 3-2 win over the Slovak Republic at the last Davis Cup tie will be looking to repeat the same success.
"It's good to be back and playing on the court." Evans commented, "I'm looking forward to the tie getting started tomorrow. I'm happy with the draw and happy to play second; I think Josh will do a good job first up."
On Saturday’s doubles rubber, British duo Colin Fleming & Ross Hutchins will be up against Ruben Bemelmans David Goffin.
Looking ahead to the doubles rubber Ross Hutchins commented; "We feel good, we feel confident, it's been a good week of practice, we're ready and the court is a good speed for us and we're just really excited to get out there."
On Sunday, the final day of singles rubbers, there will be a reversal of roles with Goodall playing Rochus and Evans is taking on Darcis.
The tie will be broadcast by British Eurosport with live text updates via the LTA website. Tickets are still available to purchase. Please call 0844 499 1700 to book your tickets or visit the Davis Cup ticket information page.
