Karen, Ewan and Fraser Denoon
If you were lucky enough to take a trip to Braehead Arena in September to see GB beat Hungary in the Davis Cup, then you may well have seen a flurry of spectators sporting allplay t-shirts as a result of entering an exciting competition to win an extensive tennis equipment pack.
Karen Denoon, from the Scottish Highlands, was the successful winner of the prize and, having driven 200 miles to watch the tie, was extremely chuffed when she found out:
"We are all delighted with all the goodies! My boys are now desperate to get onto our local tennis courts to practice - if it would just stop raining!"
Karen and her two sons, Ewan and Fraser, first witnessed a Davis Cup tie back in July when GB saw off Luxembourg. They were so mesmerised by seeing Andy Murray that Karen knew they couldn’t miss out on another chance to see the boys in action.
"With a love for watching and playing tennis all my life, I took my boys to Braehead in July to watch the Davis Cup. I thought it was a fabulous opportunity for them to sample a tournament, and to see their hero Andy Murray, and they absolutely loved it!
"So when we heard it was in Braehead again, we were delighted, so much that my youngest was telling me where he wanted to sit, as he was desperate to try and get Andy Murray's autograph this visit. We live in the Highlands of Scotland and have driven 200 miles to be at Braehead to watch the Davis Cup, and it has been worth every mile. Especially with the added bonus of winning this fabulous prize - thank you LTA very much indeed."
The equipment pack brought to you by allplay included a Babolat tennis racket and balls, a Nike towel, headbands and a water bottle.
Make sure you don’t miss out on visiting the British Tennis Experience at future major tennis events where you can find out how to get more involved in tennis.
