September

Evans secured victory for Great Britain against Australia in the Davis Cup Finals Group Stages in Manchester with a 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 win over world No.12 Alex De Minaur.

August

The British No.2 reached the third round of the US Open for th fifth time in 10 years but lost to world No.1 and reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz 6-2, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.

Evans kicked off his US hard court swing by securing the second ATP title of his career at the Citi Open in Washington.

After dropping the opening set in his first round match against Gregoire Barrere, Evans became a dominant force - taking out the likes of Frances Tiafoe and Grigore Dimitrov to reach the final where he took on Tallon Griekspoor. In a battle for the title, Evans triumphed to a 7-5, 6-3 victory to clinch the biggest title of his career so far.

July

Evans lost in the opening round of Wimbledon to France's Quentin Halys 6-2, 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-4 over two days.

June

Onto the grass court season and Glasspool teamed up with fellow Brit Lloyd Glasspool for the cinch Championships doubles event where they reached the quarter-final before losing out to eventual champions Ivan Dodig and Austin Krajicek 6-4, 6-4.

He also competed in the singles event where he lost in the first round to Sebastian Korda 6-4, 7-5.

May

Evans headed to the French Open where he unfortuantely suffered a first round defeat to Australia's Thanasi Kokkinakis, 6-4 6-4 6-4.

April

Evans reached his first ATP semi-final of the season at the Grand Prix Hassan II. The Brit secured straight set wins against Alexei Popyrin and Andrea Vavssori in the opening rounds before being beaten by Spain's Roberto Carballes Baena 2-6, 6-4, 6-2.

Evans then went on to hit a personal milestone when he reached his first ATP 500 clay court semi-final in Barcelona in April. The Brit knocked out Matteo Arnaldi, world No.12 Karen Khachanov and Francisco Cerundolo en route to the semi before losing out to eventual champion Carlos Alcaraz 6-2, 6-2.

March

Evans received a first round bye at Indian Wells and faced an all-British battle in the second round against rising star Jack Draper, where Evans lost out in a 6-4, 6-2 defeat. He also joined forced with Australia's John Peers for the doubles event - making it to the Round of 16 before being defeated 3-6, 7-6(3), 10-6 by Jamie Murray and Michael Venus.

February

Evans was selected to represent Great Britian in the Davis Cup qualifying tie against Colombia. During the Qualifiers, Evan faced a tough first match against Nicolas Mejia, where he lost out in a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 defeat. Evans then joined forces with Neal Skupski for the doubles rubber, where they defeated former world number ones Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah 6-4 6-4 to help send Great Britain through to the Davis Cup Finals group stages

Evans teamed up with fellow Brit Jonny O'Mara for the doubles at the Qatar Open, where they enjoyed a run to the semi-final. Unfortunately, they were denied a spot in the final after a 6-4, 6-3 defeat by Matthew Ebden and Rohan Bopanna..

January

Evans was selected to represent Great Britain at the inaugural United Cup - helping Great Britain to finish top of Group D with wins against Australia and Spain, before losing out to a dominant United States team in the Sydney City Final.

Evans sailed through to the third round of the Australian Open, having overcome Facundo Bagnis and Jeremy Chardy in the opening two rounds. Here, he faced world No.6 Andrey Rublev and eventually bowed out of the tournament after a 6-4, 6-2, 6-3 defeat.

October

Evans concluded 2022 in good form, where he reached the quarter-finals of the Rakuten Japan Open doubles event alongside John Peers and were unfortunately defeated by Mackenzie McDonald & Marcelo Melo 6-2, 6-7(5), 10-6.

He then progressed to the quarter-finals in Antwerp after defeating Frenchman Constant Lestienne in straight-sets before losing out to second seed, and the world No.9, Felix Auger-Aliassime.

September

In September, Evans opened his US Open campaign with a straight-sets victory against Jiri Vesely before overcoming Australia’s James Duckworth in four sets to advance to the third round. However, he fell short to the world No.16 Marin Cilic after a valiant performance, losing 7-6(11), 6-7(3), 6-2, 7-5.

Later that month, he went on to represent Great Britain at the Davis Cup Finals group stages in Glasgow. The British No.2 won one of two singles rubbers, against Dutch star Tallon Griekspoor, as the Brits finished third in their group.

August

Evans began August at the Citi Open, where he claimeda win over compatriot Kyle Edmund and a retirement from reigning Indian Wells champion Taylor Fritz, that saw him storm into the quarter-finals where he bowed out to Yoshihito Nishioka 7-6(5), 4-6, 7-5.

He then went head-to-head with Fritz once again in Montreal as he sailed through the rounds at the National Bank Open, defeating his second consecutive American opponent, Tommy Paul, to progress to the semi-finals. However, Evans lost out to eventual champion Pablog Carreno-Busta 7-5, 6(7)-7, 6-2.

June

In June, Evans made history at the Rothesay Open Nottingham – lifting his second trophy to become the joint leading title holder in Nottingham. After defeating Jack Sock in the semi-finals, Evans went on to claim a 6-4, 6-4 win over Jordan Thompson to wrap up the title without dropping a set.

January

Evans got his year off to a flying start, clinching big wins over Denis Shapovalov and John Isner at the ATP Cup before progressing to the semi-final at the Sydney Tennis Classic.

He then went on to compete at the Australian Open, where he reached the third round before losing out to ninth seed Felix Auger-Aliassime in a 6-4, 6-1, 6-1 defeat.

September

Evans equalled his best Grand Slam result, reaching the fourth round at the US Open before losing out to eventual champion Daniil Medvedev. This performance took Evans to a new career-high ranking of 23.

June

Evans was named joint Men’s Player of the Year in 2020 at the LTA Tennis Awards.

In June, Evans reached the quarter-finals of the Viking Open Nottingham and the cinch Championships in the build up to Wimbledon.

April

April saw Evans reach his first doubles Masters 1000 final with compatriot Neal Skupski at the Miami Open, where they lost out to Mate Pavic and Nikola Mektic. During this time, Evans broke into the Top 100 in the doubles rankings for the first time.

The following week, Skupski and Evans made their second consecutive doubles final at the Monte-Carlo Masters but were beaten once again by Pavic and Mektic.

In the singles event in Monte-Carlo, Evans recorded the biggest win of his career by defeating world No.1 Novak Djokovic in straight sets, before going on to reach his first Masters 1000 singles semi-final.

In February won his first ATP Tour title at the Murray River Open in Melbourne and on 26 February reached a career high ranking of world No.22.

In January, Evans was beaten by fellow Brit Cam Norrie in the opening round of the Australian Open.

Standout performer for GB in inaugural ATP Cup. Reached the quarter-finals of the Rotterdam Open in February, and semi-finals of Dubai Championships also in February. Rewarded with career high ranking of 28 in March before the Covid-19 suspension. Returned from ban at Glasgow Challenger on April 28 with a wildcard and qualified into the main draw, falling to the No.8 seed; went one better next event at ATP Challenger in Loughborough before coming on strong on the grass qualifying for Surbiton reaching the SFs and reached the Nottingham final; won ATP Challenger in Vancouver as a qualifier ranked 310.
