The Australian Open was held at Melbourne Park and saw the top international tennis players come together for the first Grand Slam of the tennis season.
Andy Murray reached the semi-finals before going down to world No.1 and eventual Champion Novak Djokovic, who beat world No.2 Rafael Nadal in the longest Grand Slam final of all time.
The women's tournament was won by Victoria Azarenka, beating Maria Sharapova in straight sets in the final and claiming the world No.1 ranking in the process.
