The AEGON British Tour Sutton wrapped up over the weekend with Thomas Burn and Stephanie Cornish claiming the men’s and women’s singles titles respectively.
In the men’s singles final, top seed Thomas Burn took on second seed and AEGON British Tour Newcastle champion Alan Bevan. On the courts at Sutton Tennis Academy, Cornish began the final by taking the first set 6-4. In form Borthwick fought back to level the contest but it was the third seed who edged ahead taking the title with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-0 win.
